Wamuchomba questioned the credibility of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), daring the leaders of the new party—Methu, Karungo, and Nyutu—to resign from their current positions and seek a fresh mandate under DCP’s banner.
"Happy new year, Kiambu Senator Karungo Thangwa, You are now the kingmaker in the new Maskio party. Please resign from UDA, and we’ll give you a FRESH mandate as our senator in the new Maskio Party," Wamuchomba posted.
Her remark seemed to take a sharp jab at the supposed strength of DCP, wondering aloud why its top leaders weren't bold enough to walk away from their established parties and prove DCP’s legitimacy by winning elections anew.
"Bet your new party will make you elected early in the morning," Wamuchomba continued, mocking the idea that a fresh, unknown party would automatically secure power or even challenge UDA's dominance in the region.
Her comments came in the midst of growing political shifts in Kiambu and surrounding regions, where several parties, including DCP, are jostling for influence.
Many local voters are skeptical of smaller parties and prefer candidates who have already built a strong connection with their electorate through well-known platforms like UDA.
Wamuchomba’s comments could signal a new political battle in Kiambu, as larger parties like UDA face mounting challenges from emerging players, forcing voters and politicians alike to rethink their strategies in the upcoming elections.
