"Son Of A Drug Peddler" Senator Methu Clashes With Ruto's PS After Calling On Kenyans To Shun This

Nyandarua Senator John Methu has reacted to a recent public post by Felix Koskei that urged citizens to take an active role in fighting corruption. 

The senator described the message as timely and necessary, noting that public vigilance plays an important role in protecting public resources.

Methu stressed that the fight against corruption must be consistent and fair. He said integrity efforts lose meaning when they are selective. 

In his view, no individual, office, or sector should be shielded from scrutiny. Accountability, he noted, must apply equally to leaders, institutions, and ordinary citizens.

The senator emphasized that responsibility does not rest on the public alone. He pointed out that institutions charged with oversight must also rise to the occasion. 

Strong leadership, clear procedures, and independence are essential if anti-corruption efforts are to succeed.

According to the senator, reports must be followed by serious investigations and clear outcomes. 

When cases stall or disappear, public confidence is damaged. He argued that restoring trust requires transparency and visible action from relevant authorities.

Methu also supported the emphasis on lawful action in the anti-corruption campaign. 

He cautioned against approaches that fall outside legal frameworks, warning that mob justice and public shaming can undermine justice rather than strengthen it. He said lasting solutions must be rooted in the rule of law.
