Maureen Njeri says she blacked out on the night of November 22, 2025, only to wake up two days later, found lying in a pool of blood with a swollen face and bruises.
According to Maureen, the last thing she remembers is returning home after seeing off a friend.She believes she was drugged and attacked shortly after opening her door.
She said she thought she had been drugged and then beaten, which explained why her face was swollen.
She added that she lost consciousness immediately after entering her house.
Luckily, her child was visiting her mother at the time.
After regaining consciousness, Maureen asked her neighbor if she had heard anything that night.
The neighbor told her that she had heard Maureen screaming and shouting “Achana na mimi, utaniua!” on the night she lost consciousness, a response that left her shaken.
Earlier that day, Maureen and the neighbor had argued about the gate, but she thought it was a minor issue.
She has since reported the matter to the police, though she is yet to obtain a P3 form.
She said she was informed that she needs to visit a public hospital to get the form.
Although she has not done so yet, she mentioned that she already went for a check-up.
Her story has drawn sympathy online, with many urging her to seek justice and questioning why the neighbor did not act after hearing her screams.
