Speaking at a public gathering, Kalonzo said that he has received overwhelming support nationwide.
He also revealed that he enjoys backing from Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang’i's Kisii stronghold, suggesting that this support has sparked Matiang’i’s interest to support him.
Both Kalonzo and Matiang’i have declared presidential bids aimed at unseating President William Ruto. However, the Jubilee presidential candidate has yet to respond to claims that he might step aside in Kalonzo's favor.
Kalonzo further stated that, according to his research and intelligence, 88 percent of other communities are willing to support him and the Kamba community’s presidential bid, a level he described as highest ever.
He urged his supporters to ignore rumours that could disrupt political unity, warning that attempts to destabilize cohesion may increase as the election season draws near.
Meanwhile, DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua outlined his party’s ambitions to form a coalition with Wiper, targeting Nairobi seats.
