DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua has raised concern after noticing that a number of opposition allies are allegedly working for President William Ruto.
Speaking on Tuesday, Gachagua revealed that he has noticed people online pretending to support the United Opposition but with ill motives against them.
Gachagua said their aim is to create division in the Mt Kenya community in his favor ahead of the 2027 General Election.
However, the former DP did not reveal the names or details of those he accused of secretly working for Ruto.
He said Mt Kenya must not allow itself to be split by internal forces acting on behalf of external interests.
He also urged residents to stay focused on the bigger picture the political and economic strength of the region rather than being swayed by short-term political maneuvers.
This is not the first time Gachagua has accused opposition politicians of advancing Ruto's agenda.
Gachagua recently cautioned the people from Mount Kenya to remain vigilant against CCK party leader Moses Kuria, saying he is working with Ruto.
He claimed that there are deliberate attempts to divide the region’s political unity ahead of the next general election.
