Mary Kioko, who had traveled to Nairobi to find work to support her three children, left her four-year-old daughter at home with someone she trusted. However, she was soon called back to the village with tragic news.
Her daughter had been found unconscious and unresponsive, connected to oxygen, and unable to speak or move.
Doctors at Kenyatta National Hospital say the child’s condition remains critical, and she is currently in the Intensive Care Unit fighting for her life.

The family faces additional challenges as they struggle with daily survival. With no income, Mary has had to stay at the hospital around the clock, while one of her other children had to leave a friend’s home that had been offering temporary shelter.
The accused babysitter is still at large, and the family is calling for urgent police action. Mosiria has appealed to the Inspector General of Police to intervene, saying the child deserves justice and the family needs protection.
