According the source, In the hotly contested Magarini constituency parliamentary seat, William Ruto and his allies had fronted one Stanley Kenga, to vie under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket.
All along, the mission was to fracture rebel votes opposed to the ODM - UDA broad-based arrangement. The source specified that Stanley Kenga was heavily funded from scratch.
In bid to give Stanley Kenga financial stamina to fulfill his campaigns against Harrison Kombe, President Ruto and his allies were reportedly giving Kenga "Ksh 700,000 per month to keep him afloat" as he campaigned while eyeing the seat.
However, days before the voting was held, Stanley Kenga was reportedly requested to step down from the race to pave way for Hon Harrison Kombe who went on to clinch victory.

Stanley Kenga's relationship with Ruto likely deteriorated after he was recently advised to step down in Kombe's favour, a move that triggered him to ditch UDA party and join former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).
