The announcement, accompanied by a campaign poster branded The Nairobi Dream Team 2027, outlines the pair’s shared vision under the slogan Making Nairobi Work Again (MANAWA).
In a statement shared on social media, Kuria emphasized that the partnership is not driven by tribal or party politics but by a mutual commitment to address Nairobi’s persistent challenges.
He highlighted their combined leadership experience, deep understanding of the struggles facing Nairobi residents, and access to local, regional, and international networks as key strengths they bring to the city’s future administration.
Kuria noted that their collaboration represents a progressive shift away from divisive politics, stressing that both leaders are focused on service delivery rather than party loyalties.
According to him, Nairobi needs leaders who are not only experienced but also united by a genuine desire to improve the city’s infrastructure, governance systems, and economic opportunities.
George Aladwa, a seasoned politician and influential figure within the ODM party, brings grassroots political experience and strong support from Nairobi’s populous eastern belt.
Paired with Kuria’s managerial background and national networks, the duo positions itself as a bipartisan force ready to take on the city’s top leadership.
